Australian Lyric Soprano, Lisa Anne Robinson, began her formal musical studies at the age of 14. A series of scholarships enabled her to complete her secondary and tertiary education at prestigious educational facilities, culminating in a Bachelor of Music Performance, with first class honours, from the Victorian College of the Arts (1997). Lisa has won over 100 prizes, awards and scholarships at various Eisteddfods and competitions throughout Australia.

Lisa performed throughout Australia as a soloist with a range of highly regarded orchestras and ensembles. She was also in great demand as an opera singer, recitalist, and soprano soloist for performances and recordings of oratorios. Her operatic roles include: Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (Countess), Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Dido), Menotti’s The Telephone (Lucy), Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte (Fiordiligi), Bizet’s Carmen (Micaela), Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance (Mabel) and most recently the role of Marchesa del Poggio in Verdi’s Un Giorno di Regno with Opera della Luna. Critics have described Lisa’s voice as ‘rich’, ‘melting’, ‘distinctive’, ‘warm’ and ‘world-class’ and her performances as ‘superb’, ‘exceptional’, ‘terrific’ and ‘barely matched on commercial recordings’.

Now based in the UK, Lisa Anne Robinson continues her studies with Joy Mammen and Isabelle Flinn.
