The Bach Choir

The Bach Choir is widely considered to be one of the finest independent choirs in the world. Under the baton of Musical Director David Hill, the Choir has continued to cement its international reputation. In 2005 & 2007 the Choir gave concerts in the newly restored Frauenkirche in Dresden. Easter 2008 saw the Choir on tour in Australia with numerous concerts at various venues including a performance of Vaughan-Williams’ The Pilgrim’s Progress with Richard Hickox and Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House.

The Choir has recently been in demand by film producers and has recorded for the soundtrack of Ridley Scott’s epic Kingdom of Heaven, Disney’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Dreamworks’ Shrek the Third, and most recently Disney’s Prince Caspian.

In fulfilling the Public Relations role for The Bach Choir, Jonathan Cooke Limited has handled all contact with the media: sending out press releases to the national and local press in good time before concerts; arranging interviews on local and national radio and on BBC Radio 3; and organizing advertisements on national radio.

The Bach Choir has recently extended its PR contract with Jonathan Cooke Limited and we look forward to another season’s successful collaboration.
